ChemE Car Arduino Shield

This system was designed as an Arduino shield to allow for easy integration and support with the widely used Arduino platform. This board combines many elements that were typically connected together with many wires. These elements include the battery system, a control interface, sensor circuitry, and mechanical relay. This system combines these elements into one board and adds a few new features including a power switch to the battery and 3.3v I2C logic level shifting. The user interface consists of one software defined toggle switch, one momentary reset button and an RGB LED.

This project is further augmented by a short tutorial series that teaches Arduino programming in the context of ChemE Car. This product and tutorials lower the barrier of entry and ease the burden of the implementation of electronic control systems for ChemE car teams without requisite experience.
