Smart Nerf Blaster

This smart blaster was created by myself over the course of a year. Utilizing a multitude of skills, this blaster provides one-of-a-kind user feedback and control. The blaster is a heavily modified Nerf Rival Hera.

The main feature of this blaster is the ammo counter. This display is driven by smart magazine capacity sensing; Using a color sensor in the bottom of the magwell, the blaster can detect the presence of rounds and update the counter in an intelligent manner correcting the counter to reflect the actual amount when a less than full magazine is inserted.

Its other features include electrically controlled indexing and chambering, three fire mode options: full, semi, and two-round burst, and on-the-fly projectile speed adjustments.
